Kalimatus shahadah

 Khalimatus shahadah.

Khalimatus-shahadah is regarded as the first pillar of islam which is the (Declaration of faith) that makes a disbeliever a believer or a Muslim.

The Arabic pronunciation of the khalifah is.

اشهد ان لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له، واشهد ان محمدا عبده ورسوله.

Ash-shadu al-laa-ilaha-illah-llahu wahadahu-la-sharikallahu, wa Asha-hadu Anna Muhammadan abduhu wa-rasuluhu.

Meaning.

I bear witness that there is no other God to be worshipped except Allah, He is one without partner and I testified that Muhammad (S.A.W) is his servant and Messenger.

When prouncing the testimony, one should know and understand the Shahadah well so that the main purpose behind the utterance is that he believes in his heart that there is no god worshipped except Allah (S. W. T) alone. Thus, the first expression of the claim is word tawhid. (لا إله إلا الله ) this word of tawhid has two pillars.

1. The first pillar is the (Nafi) which denies that there is no God who who is worthy to be worshipped (لا إله ).

2. The second pillar is to establish or confirm (Ithbat) that only Allah is entitled to be worshipped (الا الله ). Hence it is not legitimate testimony of shahadah except you fulfill the two pillars in the expression of shahadah.
